This Hardware Return & Refund Policy governs all physical purchases of the esc. hardware puck made through our custom web storefront operated by Bedroomlabs SRL. We design our return framework to comply fully with European Union consumer protection directives while robustly safeguarding our hardware ecosystem from user tampering or malicious modification.
In full compliance with Romanian Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014 and the European Union Consumer Rights Directive, you maintain a legal right of withdrawal of exactly fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of purchase. This return window initiates precisely from the delivery confirmation timestamp logged by the third-party logistics carrier API and lapses exactly 336 hours later. To exercise this right, a formal return request must be transmitted to hi@bedroomlabs.co before the 14-day tracking window expires.
To qualify for a successful return and subsequent capital reconciliation, the physical esc. puck must be returned in its absolute original, pristine structural state. We enforce a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding enclosure modification. The hardware unit will be rejected instantly and deemed ineligible for a refund if it exhibits any signs of:
Every esc. hardware node contains an integrated, passive NTAG213 silicon circuit flashed with a static, cryptographically signed unique identifier in UUID format. Upon arrival at our return facility, our team runs a hardware validation triage protocol. If our diagnostic equipment detects that the internal sectors of the NTAG213 chip have been wiped, altered, cloned, or rewritten using third-party near-field communication reading/writing tools, the return is immediately voided and the device will be recycled or sent back at your expense.
The physical return must include the esc. puck alongside all original packaging components. The retail box, protective layout inserts, structural surface mounting components, and instructional documentation must be completely intact and free from physical tearing or destruction. Missing auxiliary components will result in a structural reduction of the refund value or complete rejection of the return parcel.
Once your return parcel is successfully received at our headquarters, it is placed into a mandatory technical inspection queue. Our engineering lab evaluates the device against the criteria outlined in Sections 2 and 3 by checking physical enclosure tolerances and scanning chip cryptographic signatures. We process these engineering evaluations within seven (7) calendar days of parcel receipt, and the formal results are logged directly to your customer profile.

This policy applies exclusively to the physical, passive esc. hardware node. Any digital features, in-app focus modules, utility configurations, or future optional subscription tiers unlocked via Apple App Store Connect or Google Play Billing are entirely exempt from this return policy. Digital transactions are governed strictly by the respective mobile marketplace refund parameters and cannot be cleared by Bedroomlabs SRL.
Upon successful engineering inspection and formal approval of your physical return, the capital transfer sequence will initialize. Funds will be routed back to the original payment instrument tokenized during checkout through our custom Shopify Storefront API implementation. We complete approved refunds within fourteen (14) business days from the close of the technical inspection, though final credit appearance depends on your banking institution's settlement timelines.
